Staff Reports

As of Monday, June 8, 2020, according to a release by Lake City Manager Joe Helfenberger, the City of Lake City is taking additional steps to reopen more of its facilities.

City Hall will be open to the public, through six-foot social distancing will be in place. We also encourage the use of masks. You can enter City Hall by using the east door, which has the handicapped ramp. City Staff will monitor and make sure CDC guidelines are followed. Visitors can access Customer Service, Growth Management and the Clerk’s Offices on the first floor. The City Manager, Procurement, and IT offices on the second floor and the Finance and
Personnel offices on the third floor can be accessed using a phone in the lobby of the first floor. Surfaces will be frequently sanitized.

All City Parks will be open to the public, except Sally Mae Jerry Park, which remains closed for repairs. Social distancing of six-feet between groups is required.

Groups that want to utilize City parks or facilities may do so with an approved permit, but must agree to follow CEC social distancing guidelines. Please contact City Recreation Director Terri Phillips for a permit to reserve a city park. City-sponsored large-group activities will remain closed.

City Council and Planning and Zoning meetings will continue to meet virtually in June.

Thank you to our residents and businesses for their patience during these difficult times.

Thanks also to the dedicated employees of the City of Lake City who have given their best to provide a high quality of life for our community.
