Branford celebrating Independence Day for nearly 40 years

The Branford River Reunion 4th of July celebration attracts thousands to Hatch Park each year. For nearly 40 years, their mission has been to “...have a fun and safe celebration in our little town of Branford, Florida.”

According to Branford River Reunion Committee Member Peggy Terry, The day’s festivities will include a kayak race in the morning at Little River, a duck race at 2 p.m., a parade at 6 p.m. at the historical Ivey Park at Branford Springs on the beautiful Suwannee River. From 3 p.m. until dark festivities at Hatch Park will continue with live entertainment by Chuck Partin and other local talent featuring Christina Lay, Kristy Lane, Jonathan Plummer, Silvia, Krista Karr, Terry Boyd, Joe Loper and New Beginning Band, among others. Craft and food venders will begin setting up their booths at 1 p.m. and be ready for customers by 3 p.m., along with various kids games and bounce houses sure to keep children entertained. The famed Bedrock Derby Relay Race will begin at 7:30 p.m. at Hatch Park with the main attraction, the fireworks show, slated for around 9:30 p.m.

The Branford River Reunion 4th of July Committee would like to invite everyone to participate as they celebrate America’s day of Independence on July 4th.
