Mark Stewart announces race for City Council D4

Former City Councilman Mark Stewart has announced his candidacy for the Councilman District 4 seat. He is enthusiastic and looks forward to serving the people of Live Oak. We must become a “CAN DO” city for progress.
His promise is to be:

●ACCESSIBLE ●BELIEVABLE ●COMMITTED ●CONSERTIVE

●ATTENTIVE & ●A FULLTIME COUNCILMAN
Mr. Stewart’s leadership as councilman included projects such as new sewer treatment plant, storm water enhancements; city owned prison water system, 2 firetrucks to lower ISO (fire ratings), sewer plant expansion with reuse capabilities, sewer line rehab, new water wells with storage tank, and sewer lift stations. These projects made a major impact on the city’s ability to attract business and residential development.

●1983 graduate of North Florida Junior College

●Married 50 years to Wynalda “Sissie” Black

●Served 20 years as a church treasurer

●Active member of Live Oak First Baptist Church

●35 year former employee of the U S Postal Service

●Lions Club secretary for 8 yeas
Mr. Stewart will work to:

●LOWER PROPERTY TAX RATES ●STABALIZE CITY FEES

●INCREASE BUDGET OVERSIGHT ●ENCOURAGE NEW BUSINESS

●PROMOTE FLEXIBILITY AND COMMUNICATIONS WITH CITY OFFICIALS
