Frank Davis has announced that he will be a candidate for mayor of Live Oak.

Davis stated, “I’m running for the office of mayor because I want to represent the city of Live Oak in our next phase of growth and development.” He presently serves as city councilman for District 4.

Davis said he believes the position of Mayor is very important to our city and if elected he pledges to do the following:

• Be an good Ambassador who represents the city and its interests.

• Be an Advocate of ideas and projects that will spur economic growth and jobs.

• Be an Overseer of local government functions.

• Be an Encourager of the citizens and businesspersons of Live Oak, promoting unity and cooperation among various groups and people.

• Be a representative to the Florida League of Cities, League of Mayors and other associated statewide groups that can help our city.

He moved to Live Oak in 1978 and served as County Coordinator and Zoning Director and was the pastor/administrator of Melody Church and School for nearly 30 years. He is a member of the Florida Bar. He and his wife Amanda have four children and five grandchildren.
