Submitted by Suzy Witten

FEMA Disaster Survivor Assistance Teams (DSA) will be visiting disaster stricken neighborhoods in Suwannee County to help people register for disaster assistance. DSA Teams will be going door to door in two-man teams and will have official FEMA credentials with them for identification.

If a DSA team does not come to someone’s door, Suwannee residents who were impacted can register online with FEMA at www.DisasterAssistance.gov, by calling FEMA’s toll-free helpline: 800-621-3362, or by calling FEMA’s dedicated TTY line: 800-462-7585. Online registration operates 24 hours a day.  Phone registration is currently from 7:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m. ET, seven days a week.
