Three Trump campaign buses are traveling throughout the state spreading the “Make America Great Again” campaign to Florida residents. One is traveling through south Florida, another in the I-4 corridor and the third bus is traveling across I-10, which is the one that will be stopping in Lake City, Friday, according to Columbia County Republican Party Chairman Buddy Hines. The stop is part of the Columbia County Republican Party Campaign Rally that will be held at the Olustee Park in downtown Lake City, Friday, October 14. The rally is from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Hines encouraged voters to attend the rally and show their support for Donald Trump and the Republican party.

Although Hines said they do not know exactly who will be getting off the Trump bus to speak in Lake City, Doctor Ben Carson was on the bus recently, and Mayor Rudy Giuliani has also been on the bus traveling across I-10 in Florida, so it will be interesting to see who will be stepping off the bus in Lake City to speak.

Also in the line up of candidates to speak, a representative from the Marco Rubio campaign is expected. Hines said Rubio himself is not expected to attend the rally, but it would be a nice surprise. Doctor Neal Dunn, candidate for Congressional District 2 will be speaking. Glo Smith, candidate for Congressional District 5 will be speaking along with Representative Elizabeth Porter running for re-election for State House District 10. Columbia County Commissioner District 5 incumbent Scarlet Frisina will be speaking and her challenger, Tim Murphy, will also speak as they are both Republicans. Other local candidates may be speaking as well, Hines said.

Tony Buzzella, former Chair of the Columbia County REC, has arranged for some patriotic music to entertain rally goers. Hines wanted to invite and encourage residents to attend the event and get better acquainted with their candidates.

Suwannee County Republican Party Campaign Rally, “Proud To Be An American,” will be held Saturday, October 15, 2016, from 10 a.m. – 3 p.m. at the Suwannee Historical Museum / Train Depot in downtown Live Oak. Speakers will include Doctor Neal Dunn candidate for Congressional District 2, Representative Elizabeth Porter and other local candidates, according to Suwannee County Republican Party Chair Sherri Ortega.

There will be a cake auction and a silent auction. Pulled pork dinners will be available for $10. Ortega challenged residents to come out and show support for their candidates.
